Coolgardie Goldfields.
SCARCITY OF WATER. (Per Press Association.) Perth, This Day. A water famine prevails on the goldfields, and water is being sold at Coolcardie at 6d per gallon. The scarcity is greatly delaying work in the mines. The Government has adopted the plans of an extensive scheme to supply the fields from the Moore river at a cost of a million. It is understood they are preparing to float a loan of two and a half millions in London for this and other public works. .
