Cohen, an action by plaintiff under the Local Bodies Contractors Act for refund to Napier Hospital Trustees of moneys paid to defendant while trustee for supply of goods and for penalties. His Honor gave judgment for defendant with costs aocordiog to scale. A narrow escape from drowning occurred last night. Mr Clapham, a gold miner of Blenheim, while attempting to board the Penguin en rente for Lyttelton, fell between the vessel and the wharf. He was resetted after some difficulty and to day is in a fair way of recovery.
