The Dean Case.
(Per Press Association.) i Sydney, Noyr. 1. The conopiracy cases were continued to-day. The evidence submitted for the ' Crown so far is chiefly in the direction of '■ proving that Meagher and Crick were • acting m concert from an early stage in' the Dean case. It is also sought to be proved by the i Crown that; a man named Gael who gave i important evidence for the prosecution when Dean was first charged, was arrested on the eye of the criminal trial on > a bogus charge of bigamy, which Mea- • gher had induced Gael's wife to issue in : order to keep him out of the way. i Nothing fresh or startling has been disclosed. Dean complained in the Court to-day that he was being starved in prison. Subsequently it was discovered that his counsel had promised to supply him with lunch but tailed to do so, and therefore the authorites were not to blame.
