Alleged Libel.

(Per Press Association.) Mastekton, October 29. Mr Joseph Payton, proprietor of the Wairarapa Daily Times, was this afternoon served with a writ for alleged libel, for which five Masterton publicans claim £200 each as damaged. The action arises out of the Wairarapa Times' comment on a recent agitation regarding the efficiency of the local police force.
