A. G. Tame and Co. report on above • markets for the week ending October ) 25th : — Fat sheep are rising in price and , mostly shorn sheep coming forward ; , prime shorn wethers are bringing 9s to j 10s 6d ; fat ewes, good weights, 7s 6d to , 9s. Store sheep are in keen demand ( and selling well, bat very few trans- , actions taking place. Wethers, shorn, 6s 6d to 8d ; 2-tooths, 5s 6d to 6s ; ewes and lambs, 6s to 7s, according to age. Fat cattle— Prime, 18s per 1001 b. Pigs — slips, 6s to 7s 6d ; porkers, 15s to 18s 6d ; baconers, 80s to to 355. Horse— At the weekly sale in our yards we had only a moderate entry, and nothing very special amongst them, and buyers were none too plentiful. A few really good ( heavy draughts would have sold. All j likely express sorts were picked apt The sales made on Saturday were no ] guide to the market. Sheepskin*?— Very ] keen demand for all coming forward. > At onr weekly sales best full woolled i skins, 5d to 6d per lb ; good butchers' -\ skins, 5s 6d ; superior dry skins, 4d to £ 4£d per lb. Wool is now coming for- t ward slowly for the local and private j sales, and although inferior wool has fallen £d per lb really good clips are j likely to sell well. Properties — Therois f good inquiry for improved farms.
