The Faust Family.

One of the most laughable entertain, ments ever given in the Assembly Rooms was that of the talented Faust Family, who played before a crowded house last evening. The several selections given on the hand bells were much appreciated, but the comic singing fairly convulsed the audience with laughter, and nearly every item on the programme was encored. Master Freddy as a Yorkshire lad displayed great talent for one so young. Mr Eugene Faust was encored for the song "He hadn't been used to Luxuries," and gave "Man's not Required." The musical sketch, " Naming the Baby," by Mr Martyn Hagan and Miss Lucy Fraser, was very amusing and exceptionally well performed. •• Cromaboo " sung by Mr Hagan was well rendered and much appreciated. Messrs Ted and Eugene Faust, in their musical musings were irresistibly funny, and the Risley performance by Messrs Ted and Eugene, Master Freddy, and Ruby Faust was very clever. Miss Lucy Fraser was encored for the song " The Side-walks of New York." The entertainment concluded with the pantomime farce " My Awful Boys," which kept the audience in roars of laughter. As judged from their performance last evening, this company has few equals for f un|and comicalities, and even the most cynical cannot fail to be amused.
