■ ■■'■ ™O ■ ■ ■ ■ ' ■ (Per Press Association'). Stratfohd, Oct. 25. An accident occurred to the morning train between Stratford and New Plymouth to-day. TJ hen the train was near Tariki road Station, about seven miles iron) Stratford, a stray bullock from the bush got on the line. The engine cut it to pieces, but the toroe of the collision was sufficient to throw the engine oS the line down an embankment, and to telescope several trucks laden with bricks, timber, Ac. The passenger car was left standing on the rails. The passengers were shaken, and, of course, frightened. Fortunately no one was hurt, except that the engine driver was cut about the face and arms, and his assistant slightly injured. The engine was considerably damaged. A special train connected, and conveyed the passengers to New Plymouth.
