» (Per Press Association.) Gisborne, October 21. For some months the Harbor Board has been dredging the river channel, and as the result of its operations the s.s. Australia (559 tons), drawing 9ft 9in of water, was brought up the channel last evening and berthed at Bead's quay. This is the first time a steamer of such size has been in the Turanganui river.
