Deliberate Suicide.
(Per Press Association.) Auckland, October 21. On Saturday night as some Maoris were crossing the Mangere Bridge they saw a man sitting on the bridge. They spoke to him and were surprised when he expressed his intention of flinging himself over, and immediately carried his purpose into effect, being drowned at once. He was identified as George Plumely, 25 years of age, who had been missing from Otahuhu. He had been in failing health and despondent. A verdict of suicide'from temporary insanity was returned.
