The Dean Case.

Concerning the Dean sensation, which is now creating such excitement in Sydney, a Nelson resident, who 13 acquainted with Messrs Crick and Meagher, informs the Star that the latter, whose promising career has been so ignobly blighted, is a Toung man of only 25 to 26, and is a native of Bathurst. He commenced his study of law in Mr Crick's office a few years ago, and the ability that he displayed was such that Mr Crick, who is himself, a man of only between 30 and 40, took him into partnership. Meagher has dis tinguished himself on more than one occasion as a criminal pleader, and he chiefly made a name for himself by ms successful defence of some persons charged with murder a short time back. Meagher was elected to Parliament in July. ___
