Referring to the drowning fatality in the Kangitikei river, published by us yesterday, to-day's Mercury says: — A man, name unknown, was swept off his horse and drowned while crossing the Onga ford. The occurrence was witnessed by some persons on the river bank, but they were powerless to help.
