(Per Press Association). Dunedin, Oct. 1. The Comhnittee of the Chamber of Commerce has decided to address Government in snpport of the Canadian— Pacific cable! It was resolved that the preferential position tbat land would hold in bankruptcy should bo abolished and that the Bankruptcy Act should be amended by the insertion, in respect of rent, after the woriis " ony period " tbe words ". not exceeding two months." The resolution is to be forwarded to the Minister "of Justice and pther chambers are to be asked to support
