Wallace is installed first favorite for the Derby at 4 to 1, on the strength of his victory in the September Stakes. For the Caulfield Cup all the money in the market bas been taken about Hava at 100 to 6. Hopscotch still holds the pride of the position at 100 to 12. Most of the horses engaged in the recent meeting have departed for their Victorian engagements. Melbourne, October 1. Hortensius has been scratched for the Melbourne Cup, and Roy Ray, Ilchester and Hortensius for the Caulfield Cup.
