MANAWATU RACING CLUB.
A Committee Meeting of the Manawatu Racing Club was held at the Commercial Hotel last evening. Mr D. Pringle in the chair. The principal business was the drawing up of the following programme for the Summer Meeting: — First Day. — Telegraph Stakes, 80 sovs, 7 furlongs ; Handicap Hurdles, 70 sovs, 2 miles ; Hack Hurdles, 40 sovs, If miles, Paimerston Cup, 300 sovs, 1_ miles ; Hack Flat, 40 sovs, IJ miles ; Grandstand Handicap, 85 sovs, 1 mile ; Ladies' Purse, 40 sovs, 1| miles. Second Day. — Summer Handicap, 75 sovs, 6 furlongs ; Second Handicap Hurdles, 80 sovs, If miles; Second Hack Hurdles, 40 sovs, li miles ; Electric Handicap, 50 sovs, 5 furlongs ; President's Handicap, 200 sovs, If miles ; Christmas Hack Handicap, 30 sovs, 1 mile ; Farewell Handicap, 40 sovs, 1 mile.
