The Kucheng Enquiry. FURTHER POSSIBLE COMPLICATIONS.
(Per Press Association.) London, Sept. 30. The Consuls at Kucheng propose to bring the enquiry to a termination. They find the opposition of the Chinese intolerable. The soldiery were openly insulting. The Mausfield Standard hints that it is possible Nankin may be occupied by British troops. Archdeacon Woolfe exonerates Mr Mansfield, the English Consul at Foochow, from the charge of apathy in connection with the Kucheng masoacre.
