Colyton v. Pohangina.— This match was played at Colyton on Saturday, and resulted in a win for Colyton by 3 tries to nil. Colyton kicked off, and Mann returned, but for a knock on a scrum was formed, Ross, getting hold of the ball, made a neat pass to J. Smith, who in turn transferred to S. F. Surnam, who touched down for Colyton, but no goal resulted. From the kick out saw Colyton in trouble, but the good passing of Troy, Smith, and Surnam, soon relieved the pressure, and J. Smith, getting hold of the ball, scored tne second try for Colyton. Joe Smith took the kick but did not convert. Kick off saw Pohangina in trouble, and the New South Wales rep had no difficulty in scoring his second try, the kick at goal was a failure. In the second spell Pohangina had the best of the game, and strained every nerve to score, but the excellent tackling of Jack and Joe Smith, and Troy, saved their side. Mr Fredberg gave every satisfaction as referee. Mr and "Mrs Stewart kindly provided afternoon tea.
