Rough Weather on Australian Coasts.
(PEE rttESS ASSOCIATION) Hohart, Sept. 21. Cold weather is pievailin^, and there was a slight fall of snow last nigbt. Sydney, September 22. A wire from Gabo Island to-night says that a very heavy gale with a tremendous sea, is breaking over the Island, and considerable damage has been done. This Day. The weather is again very cold and frosty, with snow on tho mountains. A galo is blowing aions the South Coast, i aud communication is interrupted with Gabo Island. The last report from the island states the lighthouse-keeper was iii danger. The Thetis has returned from her search for thu uncharted rock on wliich it was stated the Catterthmi struck. A heavy sea was running in i the locality, and she failed to discover I ! the rock.
