Advances to Village Settlers.
(Per Press Association). Adelaide This Day. A Bill has been introduced in the Legislative Assembly to increase the advances to village settlers from £50 to LIOO and give the Commissioner of Lands power of veto in certain important matters over the decision of the villagers and their Boards of Trustees. The latter has been found necessary owing to the absence of a spirit of friendly co-operation amongst the villagers.
