Wellington Stock and Produce Market.

A. G. Tame and Co. report : —Fat sheep— No alterations in values ; prime wethers are getting harder to obtain ; for best wethers, good weights up to 15s can be obtained ; medium up to 13s ; store sheep ; good wethers in particularly good request, values being from 9s 9d to 11s ; hoggets, best, 7s to 8s ; young breeding ewes, 8s to 10s 6d. Cattle— Fat bullocks, 20s per 100 lbs ; cows, selling freely at 17s per lb : store cattle : grown bullocks £4 to £2 ; 2-year steors, L3to LB 10s ; yearlings, 35s to 45s ; weaners, 20s to 80s, Dairy Cattle — Springers are in demand and good heifers of all sorts ; best cows L 6 to L»8 ; heifers, L 5 to L 6. Pigs— Demand is improving as dairies are starting ; weaners, 5s to Ss : porkers, 18s to 20s ; baconers, 33a to 40s. Horses — At the weekly sale in our yards on Saturday last there was a good number of sales resulted as buyers were present for almost any description of horse. We can fairly say that all good sorts coming forward will meet with a good market. We offered on behal( of Mr McMeckau of Springton, the Clydesdale entire General Gordon, a rare good stamp, which we passed in at 90 guineas. Sheepskins — Still strong demand at our weekly sales ; best green skins, 5s to 5s 6d ; good dry pkins full-woolled 4^d to s£d : shorfc-woolled 3d to4d. No difficulty in disposing of all lines offering ; crutchings 3d to 4d ; pieces and locks 2d to 3d. Wool — Market strong and promising well for our local sales. Hides— Best bullooks, 16s to 32s 6d ; cow hides 10s to 14s, and good demand.
