(Per Press Association.) Wellington, Septeinbpr 19. The Council met at 2.30. The Hon J. C. Walker, nir.vjd the second reading of the Auuti.-u.cs Act Amendment Bill, to provide liiiil all fees shall be paid into the funds of auy local authority within which the auctioneer resides. After a short debate the Bill was thrown out by 16 to 9. The Wilson Land Bill was put through its final stages, and the Council adjourned till Wednesday.
