The Weather in Australia.
O (Per Press Association.) Brisbane, This Day. Heavy rains have fallen over a large area, and there are indications that the drought has broken. Water was badly needed in Brisbane and the suburbs, and in many instances the residents had to purchase water, Mr Wragge announces that another , " monsoonial " disturbance appears to be gradually approaching from the Java Sea. Before it operates, however, he expects that a short spell of dry weather will follow the present rains. Sydney, This Day. The rainfall out west is small, bnt there are indications of farther rain-pro-ducing disturbances. Melbourne, Sept. 17. No rain has fallen since mid-day, but farther good falls are threatened in the western and central districts.
