Murphy Bros., old prospectors in the Knoatumi district, lately pegged off 100 acres at Kennedy's Bay on a reef sup- ; posed to be 4ft wide, the stone of which assayed at the rate of 640z sdwt 12gr of gold per ton, valued at 80s per oz, and the silver 230z Sdwt 19gr of bullion, worth £2 19a per oz — a total value per ton of £258 17s Id. A further parcel is i being assayed. Te Puke and Kiamai districts are now thoroughly prospected. Hokitika, Sep. 16. The Boss United Company washed up at Eoss and Donaghue'a elevators with 2020z valued at £788. Mr C. Miles is arranging with tbe directors of the Mount DOr with a view of offering the property on the London market.
