(Per Press Association.) Chbistchubch, September 15. The Master Painters' Association of Christchurch. has telegraphed to the Christchurch members of the House of Representatives stating tbe proposed tariff on linseed oil is considered prohibitive, and that the original duty of 6d per gallon should be sufficient to protect local industry. Duneoin, Sept. 15. Dunedin fruit dealers protest strongly against increased duties on fruit of any description, pointing out from now till February no local supply is obtainable.
