Manawatu County Council.

The ordinary monthly meeting of th above Council was held yesterday whei there were present Crs Ransom (chair) Robinson, Taylor, Strang, and Masters From Mr K. Samuel requesting state ment of amount owing on the hotel am certain properties at Awahuri. From W. A. Sandilands on behalf o Mr A. H. Brisco re rates for which h< had been sued. From W. Hunter declining to give i road through his property. Proposed by Cr Taylor, seconded bj Cr Hammond, " That the time of th« agreement on the part of Messrs Stewari and Hunt to purchase the Sanson-Car narvon Tramway be extended for sis momths from the 13th September, 1895, —Carried. Proposed by Cr Ransom, seconded by Cr Robinson, " That the manager of the Bank of Australasia, Foxton, be asked to grant the Council a further excess of overdraft of ±'500 up to the end of October."— Carried. Proposed by Cr Robinson, seconded by Cr Masters, " That the road along the new drain at Orona Bridge be formed provided the plans of the road are passed. The tenders to be in by next month — Carried."
