The Stock Market.
Charles Carr's stock report:— At Birmingham on Tuesday no sheep were penned, and only a few head of cattls which sold at recent quotations. At Feilding on Friday there were a large number of cattle penned, and although there were a number of buyers for both cattle and sheep, the bidding was slack, but I succeeded in placing nearly every line after the sale. Prices as follow :— 3-year bullocks, £4 13s ; 2 and 2J-year steers, £2 18s 6d to £3 10s ; 18 month cattle, £2 7s 6d to £2 10s ; yearlings, £1 6s to £1 14 a; weaners, £1 2s to £1 12s 6d ; store cows, £2 10s to £2 16s; cows in calf, £2 12s 6"d ; fat cows, heavy weights, bred and fattened by D. Kilgour Esq, Kiwitea, £6 7s. Sheep — Fat wethers, 12s 7d ; fat ewes, 9s 3d to 10a lOd ; hoggets, medium. 6s 3d to 7s 4d.
