Wanganui Education Board.
The Board resumed at 10 o'clock j*esterday morning when the following business was transacted : — Waituna West— From Committee applying for grant for fencing ; resolved to offer to supply gates, wire, and staples, providing Committee supply the posts and labor. . Awahuri— From Committee applying for new tank and certain repairs ; resolved to supply tank and send carpenter as soon as possible. Pemberton— Ofiering to lease schoolground, of about nine acres ; resolved, That Board is not at present prepared to ] deal with the matter. j Rata— Letter from Committee, re en- j largement; Resolved, That the letter be not received, and that the writer be informed that the Board does not file offensive and impertinent letters. Sanson -From Committee applying for range for residence ; resolved to advance the cost, as in the case of Campbelltown. Birmingham— From Mr C. Gurncy re lease of section 74 *, resolved to reply that a better tenure could not be granted. Inspection of Catholic Schools—Resolved on the motion of Mr Bridge, That as the authorities of the Roman Catholic School at Hawera have allowed a summary of the Inspector's report upon that school to be published, the press be allowed (if they wish) to publish reports on other Catholic schools that have been inspected. _____„ _
