Rangiwahia Notes.

(FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.) The second annual meeting of the Rangiwahia Cricket Club was held in the Pemberton Hotel on September the 7th. The report and balance-sheet were read, showing a deficiency of £1 9s 9d. The following officers were elected:—President, Mr Mcllroy ; vice - presidents, Messrs T. Moffatt and G. L. Lay ; captain, Mr W. Stevens ; vice-captains, Messrs P. J. Moran and W. Brown ; secretary and treasurer, Mr W. F. Stansell ; committee, Messrs Millward, F. Saywell, W. Stevens, A. W. Rule, and the secretary, ex officio. A number of new members were elected, lt was decided to open the season with a scratch match, and the ball is to be held early in November if the roads permit it. A meeting of the Pemberton Rifle Club was held in the Pemberton Hotel on Saturday evening. Report and bal-ance-sheet were read and adopted. The balance-sheet shows a credit balance of £6 13s sd, and 200 rounds of ammunition. Mr Marshall's cup was won by Mr J. J. Bryce, and a set of studs for beginners, presented by Mr Bryce, was won by Mr T. Hammond. The following officers were elected :— Pesident, Mr W. S. Marshall (re-elected) ; vice-president, Mr E. Moore; captain, Mr J. J. Bryce; hon. secretary and treasurer, Mr F. Saywell ; working committee, Messrs R. Craig, W. Stevens, J. J. Bryce, W. F. Stansell, and the Secretary, ex officio. It was decided that the range be shifted from Curls' Clearing to Mr H. Roscoe's property, being more central.
