The Southern Ocean.
DEFINITION OF THE ICEBERG REGION. [Per Press Association! Sydney, Sept. 9. The Government astronomer has pyepared a plan, denning the iceberg region of the Southern Ocean, which ships comiDg to and going from Australia pass through. Several steamship companies in London have agreed to send steamers to Australia by what is called the Safety Track, and it would ha well for those interested to know that the so-called Safety Track runs through a space which recently shown has a large number of icebergs in it. The new track is said to converge on forty degrees south and thirty <jegcees east, thence to forty j seven and a quarter degrees east.
