THE ENGLISH SHAREHOLDERS UP IN ARMS. (Per Press Association.) London, Sept 3. The shareholders committee of the Bank of New Zealand has convened a meeting of shareholders for September 16 to protest against the call. They demand that the Bank shall go into liquidation, and denounce Mr Ward's statements in London. Sydney, This Day. The Daily Telegraph considers it satisfactory that the Legislative Council in New "Zealand rejected the prohibitory clauses of the Bank Bill, nEd hopes the question will be allowed to rest there.
