Wellinton Meat Export Company.
(Per Press Association.) Wellington, August 27. At the annual meeting of the Wellington Meat Export Co., Mr. VV. Booth (chairman) said tbougb the year had been one of considerable difficulties they were abJe to show a profit of over £6000. He moyed the adoption of the report, which proposed to pay a dividend of 6 per cent. Mr O. Pharazyn, who has just arrived from London, speaking from his observations at Home, emphasised the necessity of sendin gaway only sheep of the best quality. The sheep grown in Wellington are much inferior to those from Canterbury. Mutton of much better quality was now bein" placed on the English market than used to be sent there, aud Wellington farmers must keep pace with the times. The report was adopted. Messrs W. GFoster and J. W. Marshall were re-elected directors.
