A Gumdigger's Suicide.
«. (Per Press Association.) Auckland, August 20. At the inquest oil Alex. Dixon, gumdigger, who shot himself at Patuarnoho, a verdict of temporary iusanity was returned. Deceased had been worrying over the loss of relatives. He had been in a melancholy state since the Laurie fatality. lie left the followiug note in his whare : — "Dear Clara (his sister), I have sent you all the mone3 r I have. Good-bye, God bless you and the childdren. — A. Dixon, August 23rd."
