Mr Park wires from Taupo this morning " The mailinau from Takaauu reports everyone, except tlie two storekeepers, have left Tokaanu, and even the Maoris, as they fear the bottom will fall out of the place. They had thirtysix shocks on Friday, pretty severe but thorn was no damage. That is the day we had so few."
