The Wellington Manslaughter Case.

«. (Per Press Association.) Wellington, August 21. The charge of manslaughter against Joseph Jewett is being heard in the Supreme Court to day. The evidence adduced this forenoon is similar to that at the inquest on the deceased Louis Smith. Later. Kennedy himself, who was acquitted yesterday, was called as a witness by tbe Crown, and said just before tbe crash he saw the lamp in Jewett's band. The jury, however, returned a verdict of " not guilty."
