The Wauganui representative team will play Manawatu on the yist August. Local footballers are requested to attend practice to- morrow afternoon oa the Showground. The Manawatu Rugby Union will meet at Palmerston this evening aud will, amongst other busiucss, consider further developments with reference to the Paluicrstou Club's protest against Feilding. The former club not being satisfied with the local union's decision in the matter arc, we understand going to again submit their grievance to the New Zealand Rugby Union. The following team will represent FeiMiug in a match against a team from the Palmerston Club, at Palmerston, ou Saturday next: Full-back, G. Shannon ; three-quarters, Robinson, Richards, and Giescn ; halves, Shannon, Barlow, Scandrctt, Smith, Gieseu, Johnston, B. Whisker, LeCren, Sanson, J. Whisker, Mafchesou. Emergencies — Back, Lloyd ; forward, Bilderbeck.
