Up to the present the Home trade and the Amercian buyers have been the most active, less support coming from Continental sources, buying on French account especially being very limited. Nevertheless the position strengthened readily since the first day, and Continental buyers have bought more freely, but still with reserve Merinos may bo generally quoted at from 7.V per cent to 10 per cant above tho closing values ruling in Mny, the lower qualiies of scoured showing le.ss appreciation, than tho großsy. Crosshreds of al 1 dosciipuona have been eagerly sought, and the fine r qualities (aa also those of tho duller and dingier descriptions) which have been so long neglected, mark an improvement of 7.1 to 10 per cent, while stronger find brighter kinds lv.ive risen 12 to la por cont.
