— — o A meeting of the Directors of tho Apiti Dairy Company was held in Guy's Hall on Wednesday, Mr E. Nix in the chair. After a large amount of routine business had been got through, a subCommittee reported tbat the builder, Mr Banks, . was just finishing, and the fitting up was getting on exceedingly well. The boiler is being supplied by a Wellington firm (Messrs Robertson and Co.) at a reasonable rate — in fact everything that has beeu done was under the estimated price. There were three sample cans, submitted tp the Directors. One froro. Palmerston, and one each from Mr Peter Thomson, Feiding, and Messrs Barlow Bros., Birmingham. There was very little difference in these two cans, both good, substantial, and well finished. The Directors unanimously accepted Messrs Barlow's tenders for fifty cans, as well as their offer to mako the vats. The tender of Mr George Buckman to supply firewood was accepted. It was resolved to call for tenders for painting the factory and cottage (two coats), tenders to be advertised in tlio Feilding Star, and to close on Monday, 26th instant ; also separate tenders for alterations to cottage. Resolved, That the general meeting be held in Guy's Hall on Wednesday, 28th instant, at 8 p.m., and that the Secretary notify all shareholders. After passing accounts for payment the meeting adjourned to Monday, 26th instant.
