Tho Ruahinc Football team lias been drawn a bye in the tournament for the shield at Auckland. Tho team will be represented by lour from Feilding, four from Wood villa, and three from Waugauni. The match will bo plaj'cd on tho olst. The team, which will be a strong onu, should makcVthe game very intoyostinr; to their opponents, and I .should uot be surprised if they returned victorious. Next season a big effort will be made to have Wellington made tlic centre of the annual tournaments which will be more convenient to Clubs situ atod in the South Island and will result iv larger entries. "VVelHugton n'Jiicb last year could only muster eight Clubs, has now eighteen, which shows that the Association game of football is making very rapid strides iv Xew Zealand. The Oroua Couuty team will play Woodville on Saturday week.
