Excelsior Skating Rink.

A specially attractive entertainment is provided for this evening, -when the first Plain and Fancy Dress Carnival of the season will be held at the above popular rink. Great preparations have been made to ensure an enjoyable evening's amusement for the skating and general public. The management j have spared no pains to make the Carnival a great success. The hall will be decorated and well lighted for the occasion, and with the various groups of gaily attired skaters a ptcturesque scene will no doubt be presented. During the evening prizes will be presented to the best dressed lady and gentleman rinkist, and we understand that the fair sex have fully determined that the judges will not have a too easy task iv giving their decision, as large numbers of Feilding's fairest flowers of beauty, elegantly attired iv all sorts of unique and beautiful costumes, will grace the rink with their presence. Mr F. De Lisle has kindly consented to act as judge. A lull band of talented instrumentalists, under the direction of Milt. F. Haybittle, will be present. To ayoid" inconvenience the management particularly request thafc these in fanpy dreys will leayp their name with the character represented at the door.
