It is believed the Sydney cargo has suffered extensively, as the main hold was iiooded to a depth of twelve feet. The damage cannot bo ascertained till she arrives. Brisbane, This Day. The /southern portion of the colony is suffering severely from drought. Heavy losses of stock are reported in places. Sydney, This Day. Parliament will bo opened by commission to-day. Mr Lyne will probably be chosen leader of the Opposition.
