S. P. Hodge ; claim £4 Bs. Mr Prior for plaintiff. Judgment by confession, and an order was made that the amount be paid at the rate of £1 per month. J. Miller v. E. Somerville ; claim £5 9s lOd. Judgment for amount, with costs 16s. T. H. Bredin v. R. Somerville ; claim 19s. Judgment for amount claimed, with costs 6s. William Burke v. Donald McKenzie ; claim £20 10s. • Mr Reade for plaintiff, and Mr Sandilands for defendant. This was a claim for wages for labor done, the original claim being for £35 5s 63, against which defendant claimed a contra of .£32 Is 6d, several items in which plaintiff disputed. The balance of £3 4s, admitted by defendant, was paid into Court. The plaintiff, E. F. Eagar, S. M. Smith and J. Woodcock, gave evidence in support of the claim. D. McKenzie and John Buckman gave evidence for the defence. In giving judgment His Worship allowed £9 5s 6d of the contra claim put in by defendant, judgment being given for the plaintiff for .£ll 4s 6d, including the £3 4s paid into Court, with costs of Court 245, witnesses' expenses 365, solicitor's fee 28s. C. Evans v. H. H. Bilderbeck; claim £3 7s 6d. Mr Sandilands for plaintiff, and Mr Reade for defendant. The claim was for a suit of clothes made for R. Bilderbeck, defendant's son who is twenty years of age, The defence was that the father was not liable for the son's debt as the latter was entirely supporting himself. His Worship thought it was a mistake to sue the father for the debt of a grown up son. Judgment was given for defendant, with solicitor's fee 21s. This was all the business, and the Court adjourned.
