The Late Mr Justice Richmond.

(Per Press Association.) Wanganui, August 5. The S.M. Court adjourned out of respect to the late Judge Richmond this morning. Genuine expressions of regret were made both by the Magistrate (Mr Brabant) and Mr Fitzherbert, representing the legal fraternity. Wellington. Thi? Day. Judge Richmond's funeral takes place this afternoon at 2 o'clock. The Supreme Court will not sit in the afternoon and the House will probably abjourn. Dunedin, August 5. At the Supreme Court to-day, Mr Downie Stewart, speaking on behalf of the Bar, expressed regret afc Mr Justice Richmond's death, and sympathy with his widow and family, He referred to the great ability and justice with which the deceased had dealt with all matters. Mr Justice Williams agreed with the re« marks of Mr Stewart.
