Feildmg Cycling Club.

A general meeting of members of the Feilding Cycling Club was held at the club rooms last evening, the at tendance being very good. Mr E. H Ricketts' resignation as deputy-captain was received and accepted with regret. Messrs F. Mackenzie and W. Gosling were appointed auditors, and Messrs W. Dixon, W. H. Davy, and W. Downey were elected members of the club. The Secretary announced that Mr A. R. Allan had promised a trophy to be competed for at the next annual raco meeting, and a hearty vote of thanks was accorded to him for his munificent gift. It was decided that nominations for the positions of executive officers must be sent to the secretary on or before Saturday, August 10th, the annual general meeting being held on the following Wednesday. After the formal business was concluded, the chairman, Mr S. Andrew, referred to the regret members felt at losing Mr Ricketts, who had been a most energetic member, and had rendered valuable assistance to the club, especially in the position of handicapper. As a slight recognition of his services the members had decided to make a small presentation to him. Mr — r ~"" Andrews then handed Mr-Bitketts a silver-mounted walking stick, inscribed with the words v Presented to E. H. Ricketts by the Feilding Cycling Club, 1895 " ; also, a silver-mounted pipe.
