Murder and Cannibalism.
(Per Press Association). Sydney, This Day. Lebfcers received from Mr Bismarck, Archipelago, give particulars of another horrible massacre at the Islands. The victims were a boat's crew of natives in the employ of a German trader of Nusa. New Ir&land. Early in April, whilst away with the trader's boat, the natives were captured by bush tribes and butchered, some of the bodies being taken to : the highlands for a cannibalistic feast. About the same time Captain Brune and a native crew of the schooner Svga had a narrow escape. The vessel was labourrecruiting, and while the boats were away the natives came off and made a determined effort to niuoler those left on board ; also to capture the vessel. They actually rushed the captain and men, but fortunately the former managed to secure his Winchester, with which he cleared the natives off, otherwise all must b,aye fallen victims..
