The last Junior Cup match of the season was to have been played on the Oval yesterday afternoon between the Red Stars and Feilding 11, but owing to the latter not being able to put a team in the field a scratch game was played, the Red Stars against all-comers, resulting in a win for the former b}' 8 points to nil. Way scored a try in the first spell after a fine run, and W. Smith scored a try in the second spell, Mingins converting the latter's try. A football match is to be played between the Pohangina and Ashurst Junior teams on Wednesday next, , The Red Stars have received a chair lenge from the Birmingham footballers , to play a match at Feilding, and a meet- ; ing of members of the former club will i he held this evening to make arrangements. The Secretary of the Feilding Foot- i ball Club has received advice from the , Master ton Red Star Club to the effect ] that their team have postponed the ] proposed visit to this coast for a month. We have been shown a proof of the ( group photograph of the Feildiug Club's i team who were successful in winning r the senior championship this year.
