Railway Board of Appeal.
(Per Press Association). Wellington, July 22. No nominations have been received by Government for office on the .Hailway Board of appeal. There are to be two Boards, one for the North Island and the other for the South Island, .and each is to consist of three members — a president appointed by Government, a representative of the officers of the service to be elected by the employes. Those nominated as represen'atives of the officers on the North Island Board are — T. E Donne, traffic mannger, Wellington ; E. G. Pilcher, traffic manager, Napier ; H. Buxton, traffic manager, Wauganui, and H. Davidson, of the Railway Account Office, Wellington. The North Island nominees are : — T. Wilson, fireman, Palmerston North, and D. B. Fergusson, boiler maker, Easttown, Wanganui. The South Island have nominated H. Baxter, Christchurch ; 0. Lloyd, stationrnaster. Port Chalmers ; W. Orombie, stationmaster, Dunedin. The emp'oyes have nomi nated W. LI. Jordan, engine driver and K. Mclllroy, signal- man, Christchurch ; D. Handiside, carpenter, Addington work-shops ; Simons, enginedriver, P. E. Nolan, signal-man, E. Tarrant, blacksmith, Jardine, signal man, all of Dunodin. The election will take place slortly after 4th August.
