(pee press association) Sydney, July 22. The Marine Board has authorised the prosecution of the Captain of the Anthons for alleged over loading on the strength of the report of the Mariue surveyor. The Full Court granted the applications for new trials in the cases of the Redfern accident sufferers, Maher and McKcnzie, on the ground that the damages awarded were inadequate, and in June's case on the ground that the verdict was against the evidence. .Brisbane, July 22. jiH.M.S. Dart returned unexpectedly owing to an accident to the captain who had his eye injured while opening a soda water bottle and will probably lose the sight of it. The Premier has received a despatch from the Agent-General announcing that under the will of the late Mr William Gucsdou, of Hobart, a sum of L 25.000 has been set aside for charities in Tasmania.
