TOTAL WRECK OF A STEAMER. ; j
N.Z TRUST AND LOAN COMPANY. THE NEW PRODUCE COMPANY. THE MIDLAND RAILWAY. SUCCESS OF THE CHINESE LOAN. (Per Press Association.) London, July 19. The steamer Sunrise, from Sydney to St. Johns, is a total wreck near Cape Race, the south-east extremity of Newfoundland. The crew are safe. The balance-sheet of the New Zealand Trust and Loan shows a net profit of .£42.017. A dividend of 7 per cent is declared, £3017 has been carried forward, and a sum of £'89,750 has been placed to tlie contingent account to meet possible losses from depreciation. The prospectus has been issued of the Colonial Consignment and Distributing Company. It says that Nelson Bros, take up £285,000,' of which £60,000 is cash for the English business. Judge Kekewich has refused the petition of debenture-holders for the appointment of a receiver in connection with the New Zealand Midland Railway Company. Shahzada Nasrullah Khan took a farewell from the Queen yesterday. Her Majesty presented him with an autograph letter to the Ameer addressed : " My valued friend aud ally." Sir H. AVilsou bequeathed his wife a thousand a year, his daughters £50,000 each, and all the rest of his real and personal property to his three sous. St. Petersburg, July 21. The Russian portion of the Chinese loan was subscribed five-fold and the Paris portion fifteen-fold.
