At the Supreme Court, before a special jury, the case was heard —Amten Weller against John Adams—for £1000 damages for malicious prosecution in the case heard on 7th June, when the S.M. dis missed tlie information laid ag.vinst Weller for the larceny of some articles from a box left by Adams on a run sold to Weller's father. The jury returned a verdict for Dlaintiff with iIOO damages, and costs on the lowest scale. Watmate Jnly 19. A ten year-old daughter of J. Pascoe a settler at Nukuroa, was burned on Thursday evening by her clothes catching fire and died in the hospital this evening.
