The Stock Market.

Mr D. Crcwc, Pahiatua, reports: — During the week enquiries have been more active than for some time. We have placed several lines of lambs privately direct from farmers at 2s 0d to 4d 6d ; also lines of produce at last week's quotations. Ou Saturday the 13th, I held my usual horse sale at Pahiatua. There was a good entry, the class being mostly good and certainly looked well, considering tlic season of the year. There was a good attendance of the public. Bidding throughout was slack, failing to reach owners' prices. Most of the horses were kuvued away nuaold. Two second hand traps were sold at I 9 aud .£l2 10s. Hacks, L 4 10s to L6. At the produce sale I succeeded in quitting every line ottered at the following prices : onions, inferior, 2.U1 ; good, :'[d to aid; potatoes odd lots, 4s 6d to ;">s per sack ; good sample, Ll3 per ton. Freeman R Jackson and Co.'s Johnsonville stock report (telegraphed tonight to the Tiuies) is as follows:— We had tome heavy bullocks in the sale today. The balance was small and of medium quality. Bidding was brisk with an improvement in prices. The sheet) pens were all full, and values were on par with those selling at last sale. Pigs sold better.
