A Cathedral for Wellington.
1 Per Press Association j Wellington, July 17. In connection with the proposal for the erection of a cathedral worthy of the city, Bishop Wallis writes to the Post, thanking it for supporting the project and states that Mr John j Plimmer yesterday wrote to him offering the nohle contribution of £500 (payable in four years) to the fund. This, with £100 promised by the Bishop of Salisbury and £250 (payable in three years) from the Bishop of Wellington himself, makes a very excellent beginning.
